CONDITIONS OF SALE

Yorkshire Wolds Flooring Ltd. offer to sell wood flooring products under the following conditions:-
1) Payment
That all goods and services are paid for prior to delivery or collection, unless supplied on an approved credit account, against receipt of an official order.
2) Retention of Title of Goods
Where goods are supplied on an approved credit account…..
a) They remain the property of Yorkshire Wolds Flooring Ltd. until paid for in full.
b) In the event of payment not being received, Yorkshire Wolds Flooring Ltd. is to be allowed access to the buyer’s premises, to facilitate collection of those goods.
c) From the date of delivery of goods up to payment, those goods are to be properly stored undercover by the buyer, kept dry at all times and in good saleable condition.
3) Wood Floor Installation
The installation of any wood floor should only be undertaken by a trained and experienced wood floor fitter. Such a fitter will be conversant with [and will be able to advise on] several vitally important considerations, including:-

a) Humidity levels of both the sub floor and structure of the building into which the floor is to be fitted.
b) The variation in ambient humidity and temperature levels likely to be experienced in the building.
c) The flatness and condition of the sub floor.
d) The most appropriate method of installation for the site and the type of floor being considered.
e) The need for [and size of] expansion gaps around the full perimeter of the floor.
f) The need for expansion breaks within a large aggregate width of lay.
g) The need for appropriate vapour barriers / damp proof membranes / specialist underlays.
h) The suitability of wood flooring for use with various types of under-floor heating systems.
i) The on-going care and maintenance of wood flooring.

j) It is the sole responsibility of the wood floor installer to check that conditions on site are appropriate to the receipt and installation of a wood floor.
k) It is the sole responsibility of the end client[s] to approve the appearance, quality and finish of the flooring prior to the start of installation. Three or four bundles / cartons of flooring should be loosely laid out by the installer, for the inspection / approval of the client[s].

4) Delivery To Site
Delivery to site is usually via an economy pallet service and is just up to kerbside, at the delivery address. It is essential that at least two able bodied individuals are present to assist the driver in hand offloading from the vehicle. The driver is not contracted to move the flooring from kerbside to the building. Please note that bundles of flooring typically weigh between 25 and 35 Kgs.
It is the responsibility of the recipient [and not of the driver] in the event of inclement weather that suitable protection from rain, is provided for the flooring on delivery [for instance by the use of polythene sheeting].
5) Guarantee
Due to the fact that wood flooring should not be subjected to large variations in humidity and / or temperature, no guarantee is offered [or implied] as to the performance of any wood flooring supplied by our company, except where it is being installed by our recommended installers and where humidity / temperature recording sensors are installed, beneath the floor.
Otherwise, in the event of any claim relating to the failure of a wood floor, there is no way of measuring / recording conditions to which the floor has been subjected.
Details and costs of this provision are available on request.

6) Seller’s Liability

Yorkshire Wolds Flooring Ltd., in the event of any claim on goods supplied, limits its liability to the invoiced value of those goods.
